Per usual, we’ll leave a budget in there for wargear but we’re probably going to be pushing pretty close to the max on this one. Famous for their intractable gunlines, favoritism towards plasma weapons, and keeping some big secrets, I think we have a theme we can work with here to get to 2000 points.

he Dark Angels are a dour brotherhood, characterised by their deep commitment to millennia-old rituals, loyalty, discipline, and self-sufficiency. Far more palatable to play against than the current incarnation and much better for a core force IMO.It makes perfect sense from a GW point of view - keep the HQ out of the unit in combat patrol so you don't have a mini deathstar and have an extra independent piece and then also pushes the person moving on from combat patrol to get a gravis unit to escort the captain and leaves them open to any of the HQs to join the other squads. Tellingly, they come with a Power Sword Intercessor arm, and a little backpack icon, yet the Intercessor Sergeant has the standard "bolter strapped, pistol out and up, checking my forearm screen" build. You’ll probably pick up some different leaders to keep your opponent guessing, but the Chaplain looks too cool to sideline for long. As the poster child of the hobby (especially the all blue Ultramarines) they need to be accessible, which they are. Haunted by their past, the Dark Angels and their successors – known collectively as the Unforgiven – wage a secret war for redemption, a millennia-long crusade of vengeance that will either lead to their final atonement… or eternal damnation.

It is a new launch box with all the new Kroot stuff and two characters, and one is supposed to be a melee-focused Ethereal.

However, these are pretty old models and could use a rework, and Kill Team is the perfect place to do it! The Dark Angels are the first legion and their Combat Patrol box is actually pretty generic for Space Marines.

These guys are brick and you can really customize them however you want with lots of options to choose from. Finally, I want to add something that’s going to give us better chance at cracking open armor at range. Also seems like a bit stuff than some of the existing combat patrols, especially if the intercessors can combat squad.

If you love Kroot, this is about as good as you can hope for, with the line getting a total revamp, even including the regular foot troops.
