Series One- The responsibilities of potential fatherhood are weighing down on each in a different way: Carl's girlfriend is desperate for commitment, Jon is torturing himself over the daughter he gave up for adoption when he was 17, and Andy discovers that it is he who may be soon enjoying the pleasures of being a parent.

Pennywise grabs Stan, only for the Losers to use It's ability to access their imaginations against him; Eddie imagines his inhaler is full of battery acid and uses it to melt the clown's face while Beverly uses a slingshot and a silver projectile, which the Losers imagine will kill It, to smash a hole in the clown's head.Mike is hospitalized by Henry, who in turn is killed by his own knife during a scuffle with the other Losers. Mercedes, which has been airing in the US, the long awaited film adaptation of The Dark Tower was released to rather scathing reviews a few weeks ago, Netflix has released a series based on King’s short story The Mist (which was also made into a film directed by Frank Darabont) and on the September 8th we are getting the big screen version of one of his most famous novels IT.

Despite its flaws, I would still recommend the book, mainly because of how it captures the experiences of childhood. With It finally dead, the Losers go their separate ways and move on with their lives as their memories of It fade away. However, whilst this was understandable in the Madchester era of the late 1980s, is it acceptable now as they approach thirty? A few of his novels – Salem’s Lot, The Stand, Pet Semetary and IT – became firm favourites and recently I have taken to listening to them all over again in the form of audiobooks.Synopsis: When children in town begin to disappear, a group of young kids is faced with their biggest fears as they square off against evil clown, Pennywise. After Mike gives Bill the two pieces of silver he retrieved from the sewers, the five remaining Losers decide to destroy It for good. Finally, the most controversial scene in the book which, thankfully fails to make it into either the miniseries or the new film, comes toward the climax of the book. Months later, during the spring semester at their school, Bill befriends the overweight new kid Ben Hanscom. Even though I had major problems with the audiobook of IT, it is still much better than the 1990 TV adaptation.
