Sometimes you just have to leave your fine tooth comb at the door and enjoy a book for what it is, and this book is fun and romantic and comforting and I'm here for it. No doubt about it, this was a delightful experience from beginning to end, with enough sizzle to leave a permanent sear on my heart. I was amazed: at how much it took Michael to finally see that Nell did love him and not her ex or pete. Helping her flirt with another guy is pure torture, but maybe if Fox can tackle his inner demons and show Hannah he’s all in, she'll choose him instead? Loved all the characters and the twists and turns in the plot - funny and sad all at the same time and I had n idea which way the story would turn next.

She’s shallow and vapid, and nothing about her supposed maturing as the novel progresses or her coming to terms with her biological father’s death rings true or is developed enough. One look at her and this prick had become as dismissive of her abilities as her stepfather and her ex-boyfriend. Brendan, by the way, is described as “notch[ing] his first few inches inside of her wet heat”—so he notched her notch? His character leaned into hyper-masculine traits while Piper was a very delicate female, which did grate on me a bit. but almost instantly she's transported to a sleepy port town and the fish out of water transformation begins.I felt we never got to see these two actually have a REAL conversation to get to know each other before they both claimed they were in love.

While Brendan might start on the wrong foot, with his grumpiness and no-nonsense attitude, he did come around in loving Piper the way she is.loved the descriptions of the area as have holidayed in Cornwall many a time and could really imagine the coves/cafes etc she described. But her romantic life fails a little bit: she never has a relationship lasts longer than three weeks.

I wouldn't think the spoiled rich girl would succeed in making me love the book but Tessa Bailey made it work. That sense of urgency - and my experiences as a new mother - all fed into my first novel, the internationally bestselling, The Rise and Fall of a Yummy Mummy. she starts falling for the grumpy fisherman who is desperate to not only bed her but get her to fall deeeeeply in love with him. As she reconnects with her past and begins to feel at home in Westport, Piper starts to wonder if the cold, glamorous life she knew is what she truly wants. It started alright but in the second chapter another person came it did not tell you who it was and what connection she had with the main characters in the book until the end .God I would have loved this book so fucking much if it was just about Piper learning who she truly is, loving herself, and being more genuine and authentic.

She was courageous, sweet, clever, seductive, adventurous, kind, guileless one moment, mischievous the next.

New York Times Bestselling author Tessa Bailey can solve all problems except for her own, so she focuses those efforts on stubborn, fictional blue collar men and loyal, lovable heroines.
