This is YSL's last stand for me, for their sake, let's hope they pull through for everyone with a gem. Good one to keep a hold of if you bought it back then but wouldn't seek it out now that its marked above retail. If these companies and designers would focus as much attention on preserving their products and their performance as they do introducing new ones, everyone would be a lot happier.

There is indeed something in it, which reminds one again and again a little bit of it, however, I have the feeling of wearing a vintage version of La Nuit de L'Homme now more and more.In a nutshell, the older Électrique was a blue and fruity take on the original La Nuit de L'Homme DNA, being a midway point between it and the original L'Homme by Yves Saint Laurent (2006).

After a while I looked into the fragrance community and a standing ovation had been summoned among this fragrance. This is not a problem here, as this DNA is so unobtrusive that even with over 10 sprays you would not be negatively noticed.

With the ginger and rose geranium notes, LNDL gains a wonderfully appealing fresh vein that works perfectly with the magic of the cardamom - lavender combo. Unusually delicate for a men’s fragrance – but then vanilla, patchouli, vetiver, tonka bean and cashmere wood strike. After a quite piercing and synthetic opening, which fortunately lasts just about 10 minutes, this fragrance evolves into a comforting and classy scent, similar to La Nuit de L'homme but sweeter and more aromatic. It's a modern refined of the EAU Electrique the sweetness was toned down without Apple note, it smells so great, fresh and sexy.

I could go on and on, starting to describe the notes coming from this exquisite aroma, but i am going back to the bottle now. When i smelt it from the cap, I got hints of La Nuit, but when its sprayed on my skin, I cannot smell it at all. I think it is not worth the space on your shelf considering the similarity yet inferiority compared to the original, unless you are some sort of hype beast or avid collector of the line. I can't lie the electrique part really does shock you nicely, I really like that aspect of this fragrance, that it has that shock factor like CK Shock (although they are not similar). In Just Different the same note is presented in its lighter form and in Eros it is lacking altogether.

After all, on paper, it looks like there's hardly anything about this flanker that makes it so different from what I knew of the newer LNDL offshoots. Along those lines, I can really recommend this scent to you if you've been craving the vintage version for a long time, but it's not worth all that money to you. Just apply a little more than what you usually do, DONT RUB IT IN YOUR ARMS OR ANY PART OF YOUR BODY!
